Valaqua Out-trips offer campers a chance to get away from it all with a
great wilderness experience. These trips are designed to provide direct
contact with God’s creation in a more intimate setting of 8
campers and 2-3 leaders. Each trip is geared to ensure that
campers are adequately prepared to experience maximum fun and
excitement in a safe and controlled environment. Be prepared to be
challenged physically and spiritually, while you are led by qualified
and experienced staff into some of the finest natural areas Alberta has
to offer. Join us for one of the following amazing trips as we enjoy
God’s outdoor playground! |

The
DIAD: Do
it all with this backcountry sports sampler. Enjoy a day each
of
White Water Rafting, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing
and
Canoeing, all from a base camp in the mountains. Campers will
need a daypack, appropriate clothing for mountain weather (be ready for
anything!) and a trail-worthy Mountain Bike. All other group
gear
will be supplied by the camp. Mountain Bikes are available to
rent for an additional cost of $50. |

Canoe
Camp:
Camping
in different locations every night of the trip, this trip is an
introduction to canoe tripping for campers with little or no paddling
experience. Campers will need drybags or barrels to keep
their
belongings dry. All other group gear will be supplied by the
camp. |

Mountain Bike Camp (July 25-30)
|

The
Mountain Bike Trip:
Takes you into the Kananaskis backcountry where you will base-camp and
explore a variety of new, challenging and exciting trails each day.
Campers need to possess an intermediate skill level in riding rough
terrain. Please ensure your mountain bike is appropriate for
trail-riding and is in good working order. Campers are responsible for
bringing their own mountain bikes, daypacks, and riding gloves. |

Backpacking
Trip: Offers
an excellent opportunity to experience some of the most spectacular
spots in the backcountry of the Rockies. Campers will carry
all
their supplies and hike to a new site each day to set up camp, cook
supper, enjoy a campfire and sleep in tents. Campers will
need to
bring their own backpack (45-60L is recommended) and sturdy hiking
boots. All other group gear including tents will be supplied
by
the camp. |
