Residential Camps 2010

*New for 2010!* Adventurers Camp A week tailored to busy families, this camp accepts a wider age range then our Discovery and Explorer camps, allowing siblings to come the same week.  Campers will bunk with other campers their age and activities for each cabin will be age appropriate, giving every camper an opportunity to experience all that Valaqua has to offer!

Discovery Camps offer campers an opportunity to experience a variety of camp activities together with their cabinmates. Campers are encouraged to learn about themselves, others, and God.  Campers will build confidence, make friends and have a lot of fun! Discovery camps feature a wiener roast and swimming party down at the river and provide plenty of time for interaction as a cabin group. Discovery Camps also feature an over-evening where campers can enjoy cooking supper over the fire and spending time in the great outdoors before returning to their beds to sleep as an introduction to camping out.  Discovery Camps are great for first time campers!

Explorer Camps allow campers to branch out.  Campers will spend time together as a camp community as they learn more about themselves, others and God. Campers are encouraged to try new things and explore the world around them.  Explorer camps feature an over-nighter, where campers will make their way to one of Valaqua's beautiful overnighter spots, cook supper over the fire, and settle in for an night out in one of our famous lean-tos.

Breakaway Camps are all about options! These camps provide teens with a multitude of choices and opportunities to build on individual strengths and developing long-lasting friendships. Learn to play guitar, explore you creative side in drama and look forward to a day in the mountains! There's plenty of choices, including all the old favorite activities you have always enjoyed.

Mini-Camp is a weekend family camp specifically geared for 3 to 8 year olds and their parent/guardian(s). Come for the opportunity to have fun together as a family through games, activities, mealtime and a talent show (plan ahead!). Families sleep together in a cabin, the main lodge or bring your RV or trailer. Please indicate your preference on the registration form.
